let's see, what's going on. the sewing thing is coming along swimmingly...sewingly? got a gig making aprons for $20 each and a few dresses $30 each and a dress to be made into a shirt. diane's coming over during lunch with some pants she wants hemmed, but i sew free for friends. :-)
went out with hoisa, chrissy, estella, dan denn and some of dan's friends last night. got cut off at la feria. damn it ;-). they said it was cause we hadn't eaten. *shrug* we'd done hh at trudy's and ate. and hadn't we been eating chips and salsa all night? i don't get it.
haha. here's some news. i'm the easter bunny at barton creek mall tonite. haha. $10/hr to sit there. i'll have to wear my rain pants lest kiddoes pee on me :-O.

I'm sitting in the warehouse and my program isn't working, so I'll update here.
Went to Houston for Thanksgiving. It was ok. Mom is depressed cause Judy's boyfriend is a pita. He's avoiding her and Mom's afraid of losing touch with Judy because of him. What a mess. I feel like Judy's in the same situation I was in with Bob and Shawn. That sucks alot. But anyway. Dinner was pretty good and noone got into a huge altercation. Bruce and 'Taine came into town on Friday and we went to the Aquarium. It was pretty cool. I'd never touched a stingray before. They were kinda slimy, but I'm sure it was from all the people hand oil all over them. I felt kinda bad for them. We left for New Orleans in a torential rainstorm the next morning. We made it into NO aroudn 5. It was crazy seeing all the hurricane damage all the way from Beaumont to NO. NO had alot of trash all over the side of the road, cause there's no trash pick up out there yet. The people seemed in good spirits, though. We stayed in a B&B on Burgundy in the gay part of town. It had good energy, eventhough there were so many trashed places around. The restaurants were all packed and short staffed, but it was really good.

Haven't you always wanted to raise awareness about the brain-melting nature of television by putting on makeup, pretending -- along with 40 other people -- to be a zombie, and terrorizing throngs of vapid pop star hopefuls at the Austin American Idol Auditions? Yes? Well here's your chance! The American Idol Auditions will be taking placing on Thursday, August 25 at the Frank Erwin Special Events Center (right by the stadium on the UT campus).

Ideally, we'll have 35-40 zombies, 5 or 6 plants in line (who will then be "attacked and zombified" by the horde) and two or three people taking pictures/videotaping. I'm thinking that the zombie horde will besiege the Idol hopefuls beginning sometime between 10:00 and noon. Oh, and just so we're clear, this is meant to be fun/funny, not mean/violent, and, as such, we'll be working from the old-school George Romero staggering/shuffling school of zombie-ism, not the new 28 Days Later feral-fast zombie style.

Because there's going to be a fair amount of planning involved (ie, costume ideas, the attack route, how we're going to zombify the people planted in line, special funny things we should do, general zombie code of conduct, etc) I'm having a "meeting" at my house the night of Monday, August 22nd. Everyone really, really needs to show up at the meeting so we can ensure an awesome zombie horde; to that end, you're totally encouraged to bring libations; hopefully this will get the zombie creative juices flowing.

e-mail me, and i'll send you the evite so you can get all the details. to clarify again, this is meant to be fun/funny, not mean/violent.

so i'm back in austin. hippies in the woods were alot of fun. learned stuff, met cool people etc. just signed a 6 month lease and it scares me. i got a jobbie job at good gaud on lamar and oltorf. been working for 2 days and the owner is already talking about making me a manager. yay! norm is good and happy to be back home with me. he's sleeping on my sock right now. it's kinda cute. it's hotter than hell out here and i got bit by a fire ant. housewarming party this saturday. yay! that's about it.

i hate hate hate parents that can't care for their screaming offspring! i'm sitting here in the library and this kid starts screaming a crying and carying on. he's been doing this for about 5 minutes and instead of taking the kid outside to quiet him down, mom keeps wandering around. finally she ushers him over to the check out counter. calmly checks out her books...child still screaming next to her...and moves along with life. it's obnoxious! isn't the library supposed to be quiet? ugh.

Ha. It made me laugh. This weekend was kinda eventful. James, Annie, Bruce and I went to our new house to meet 2 prospective new roommates. Nate (with dog Tate) and Kevin (M'atyah, his hippie rainbow name) seem pretty cool, but that's what I thought of our current roomies. I'm definately willing to give them a chance. I guess part of the problem is me. I haven't had a roommate in almost a decade. Now I have to deal with others who don't wash dishes timely, who 'borrow' food, who play bad music (personal opinion only), who are fake and who are just people that I wouldn't normally hang around with. I'm getting into the mindset that I'll never be close friends with them, but I just need to be able to live with them. Call me if you want to hear more. I'm not going to talk about them anymore here. So we may be in Seattl till the end of March. We may stay longer. Dunno. We were making noise about moving to the Bay Area...maybe Richmond or somewhere cheap. But we've got to at least stay in Seattle till March 19th. I got tickets to see the Gimmes! YAY! (_/_) (_|_) (_\_) (_|_) (_/_) happy dance! So here's the deal. Bruce and I moved to a new place on Greenlake. It's a cool house, but the landlord likes to be in everybody's business...like a parent. It's kinda annoying. So, we may be moving again in a month. If the rest of the roommates can get their shit together. So as of now, we have no internet access in the house and I have been walking to the library to check e-mail. Not so bad, it gets me out of the house and I get some exercise. Went to Laura's photo gallery show. Got a picture. Crazy old one of myself with a clown taken in Zilker Park before I even got married. I did many a doubletake checking to see if it was me. I hardly recognized myself. Makes me sad thinking about how I've changed over the years, but it's a great picture and, hey, I'm art! haha! I couldn't resist the purchase. Um...what else. The blanket is coming along well. Hoisa's still prego and she's got fibrosis now. Mick went to New Mexico with Tricia for the weekend. Got to call her to see how everything went. Linz's car got broken into just over a week ago and her CD player and all her CDs got stolen (she was in the process of moving). Bruce is sick at home now. I miss my Normie. Walking through the park today. All the dogs looked like they were having so much fun. Sniff Sniff. I guess that's about it.

I don't get it. Boobs. They're globs of fat attached to your chest. True some are bigger than others, but variety is the spice of life. This subject is broached again, cause i may be paid again to show them. I see no problem with this. Shown them plenty in public for free, so I guess if you want to pay me to see them...photograph them...whatever. I don't see the problem. Want to take a shot of my knee while you're at it?

we've got a new place to live! lalalalalalala! it's an old house on greenlake. it's hella cool. the roommates called to tell us we were in and they took us out for beerz. my kind of people. heh. so yeah. it's a cool place. our room is pretty big with old windows overlooking the lake (i like) and high ceilings (he likes). we've got more interaction with 2 of the 3 roommates. the girl that is moving out brought everyone puerto rican food for dinner. that yummy cuban/puerto rican rice and bean stuff and some chicken in sauce...very good. i like finding random bites of potato in there too. mmmmmmmmm. just need to find cheap sushi and we're set. there's a grill out on our 2nd floor deck that should be useful during the summer and apparently, they say there's a great view of the northern lights. man, i'm liking this more and more. we're going to get internet out there...they already have a tiny tv...and we haven't seen it on at all yet. that's nice. they've got music going. that's great too! they were excited about ddr :-). bruce and annie are already challenging eachother. it should be a riot.
got a leftover burrito calling my name, so i'm out.

i miss austin. it's raining and cold again. we're moving out of our place at the end of the month and just as i was getting to know the roommates. boo. got obliterated with eric friday while bruce was out. had a great time till bruce and i got to bed and he started telling me about his night. i blew a fuse. it was probably a combination of alcohol, pms and me holding things in too much. so, i said some things that definately weren't too nice and i'm sorry for that. as a result, spent all of saturday depressed and crying. was over it by sunday. all is better now, though.
new mantra...
must learn not to get mad when drunk.
i can/have said some really REALLY harsh things to people i love. i'm sorry again.

Well, Vancouver sucked my ass, so we're iving in Seattle. It's a pretty cool place to be. We saw snow on Christmas and had a snowball fight. Took about 150 pics on the trip up here. Dumped them onto the computer. Need to find a job, but currently have a cold. Waiting to get over it...soon, please. Attention Austin! Need Ear Candles! STAT!

Last night was a blast! Had a potluck and everyone came over. Yes I like pina coladas! And burning Bush/Cheney signs in the rain. I can't wait to see all the pics we took. The food was great and so was the company. I hope everyone enjoys their new toys. Thank you all for being there. 3 more work days! I'm having leftovers for lunch and dinner and breakfast ;-) Yummy!

Last night was alot of fun. Joelle, Linz and Danyelle came over. We made dinner, watched Desperate Housewives and hung out. I'm very excited about moving, but I'm so drained. Been packing for a few weeks now. Very slowly putting stuff together in the "Houston", "give away" or "take in the car" piles. I'm pretty much down to unpacked clothes in the closet. I've been sick most of last week and that in addition to the normal stress of moving has made me a basket case. I've got a headache and a pain in my right shoulder.
Potluck is tonite. Looks like there's going to be a decent crowd. Danyelle is making pina coladas. And I said this wasn't going to last all night. pfft. I should have known. 4 days of work left (not counting today). I'm so bored. All I've done today was cut 1 check, go over my e-mail and make 1 phone call. Been here an hour. Sigh.
Thanksgiving was good. No faux pas made by the fam or bruce. we all had a good time. i dare say my family actually likes bruce. it's alot more than i can say for any other boy...save guy. everyone loves guy. :-). got some socks, gloves and long johns on the day after thanksgiving. the long johns are thin. mom says they're really warm. bruce and danyelle are skeptical. we'll see.
normie. i love my normie. i'm sad without him. tears well up when i think of him. i know he's in a good place in houston. i know he's happy and has no idea what's going on, but i'm still sad. he slept on his beanbag last night in the living room at my parent's house. this morning he went on a walk with sherlock and watson. dad says he's happy. he got into a scrap with sherlock over cheese. sigh. i don't like it when they scrap. i missed going to sleep and waking up with a little dog curled up next to my stomach. bruce tried to make me feel better last night. we fell asleep cuddling extra tight, but it still wasn't the same. i see normie's picture on my desk and my head gets fuzzy and tears well up in my eyes. i can't cry anymore. he's happy...he's happy, he's happy.
jeanne and judy moved into their apartment. it's a very nice place and BIG! They got a good deal in all actuality. we played cranium and taboo over there friday and saturday. congrats guys. don't get into too many fights.
so...as i said earlier...4 more days. need stuff to do. got to get rid of illness or the 2 week long road trip will suck...bad! we're in the apartment tonite and tomorrow. then the rest of the house hopping agenda is below...
